Susana Rodrigues is the Clinical Lead for Blood Transfusion and Point of Care Testing (PoCT) at KIMS Hospital. With a meticulous focus on safety and quality, Susana has played a key role in establishing robust governance frameworks, staff training programs and quality improvement initiatives to ensure PoCT processes are both effective and reliable.
She holds degrees in Sociology and Nursing, which underpin her patient-centred approach to clinical care. Committed to continuous professional development, Susana has completed specialized training, including the University of Greenwich’s Point of Care Testing – Biomed Online Learning program.
Most recently, Susana has been developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tailored to PoCT in the private healthcare setting – a unique initiative aimed at enhancing patient safety and fostering innovation. Passionate about advancing standards in this niche field, Susana is dedicated to ensuring that every test conducted at the point of care meets the highest benchmarks for quality and reliability.
